Hey guys, today I’m coming at you with my first kind of wrap up for this year! This month I participated in Femmeuary, you can read about my original plans here!
ALL WRITTEN BY WOMEN
ANTSY #
ZENITH / TRULY DEVIOUS / BATMAN / QUEENS OF GEEK / HP 2 / JANE EYRE
I started out the month pretty strong with Zenith – a new release co-written by two women about a badass team of women. You can read my review here.
I then moved onto Truly Devious and Batman: Nightwalker – both written by women.
And then I fell off the wagon, but I don’t feel bad about it because I mostly read books by women anyway, so reading 3 books in a row by men was a bit of a fluke for me.
I then ended the month with Queens of Geek, The Chamber of Secrets and Jane Eyre, which I only started 2 days ago and somehow I am almost finished it.
Did I watch anything directed by or about women? Lol, so guess who rarely watches movies unless she’s at the cinema. I honestly had to make an effort to watch any kind of media this month. Is that weird? And all my effort got me was 4 episodes into the Netflix show, Glow (which I really enjoyed). And that’s pretty much it unless you want to be that person who argues that Fifty Shades Freed is an empowering film for women.
I really wanted to watch some other media like Shrek, Belle or Persepolis but, I am really not great at watching tv or movies unless I am properly in the mood to stare at a screen for a few hours and give myself a headache.
YAY JANE EYRE! is that your edition?? it’s so gorgeous!

Yes, you convinced me and so far I am loving it! Yes it is my copy and I love it – it’s the vintage classics edition – I got it at my local bookstore but, I know that it’s available on Bookdepository!

Hahahhha isnβt that life… you mainly read books by females but the month you want to NOT read male authors you read 3 in a row! I feel like that is totally my life too… Queen of Geeks, I just got to read that someday soon… β₯οΈ

Right… I felt betrayed by myself. Total karma, thinking I could do what I want. Yes, you totally should read Queens of Geek it was a lot of fun and a really good gooey read. If you ever feel like cheese, this is your book!
