THE TOP 5 BIG BOOKS I WANT TO READ THIS YEAR (please hold me accountable)

Hey guys, today I am coming at you (shockingly) with a new list. I’ve felt the urge lately to read longer books so I figured I would talk about it. I really enjoy big books and I rarely get intimidated by size. If I’m going to get intimidated, I will probably feel reluctant because of hype or the author. I know that the bigger books I am usually interested in are high fantasy so I tried to spice my list up a bit for you guys!

A FEAST FOR CROWS

852 pages

I STILL HAVEN’T READ THIS YET? UGH WHAT AM I DOING WITH MY LIFE?

Okay, so to be fair, I did start this in September last year but I only got roughly 60 pages in before getting too tired because I had just finished reading book 3 a few days beforehand.

I do really enjoy this series when I’m reading it so I would really like to finish the series off soon and just read the books as they come out. Because with these books, for some reason size just doesn’t intimidate me.

SLEEPING BEAUTIES

736 pages

I feel like I’ve been going on about this book a lot this year but honestly, I’m okay with that. I’m really hoping this will be the year I get into Stephen King’s books and I’m hoping to get to this one sometime soon. At the moment I’m really interested in his suspense novels but I’m sure I’ll feel the need to read a retelling soon and that I will pick this one up.

INKHEART

563 pages

I need to read this. No question about it, I need to read this, this year.

THUNDERHEAD

504 pages

I feel like I’m going to have to re-read Scythe before I get to this one but I’m totally okay with that. I really enjoyed the first novel and I’ve heard such glowing reviews on the second novel that I can’t wait to read it myself!

MY PLAIN JANE

464 pages

I mean, come on, who isn’t excited about this book? I loved My lady Jane and I thought it was hilarious so I’m definitely going to be re-reading it before My Plain Jane comes out later in the year!

    1. Scythe was such an interesting read – it really made me question what life really means, especially if another person or group of people have the power to take it away based off of their own opinion of someone. I hope you read it soon!

    1. Thank you! I am so hyped for My Plain Jane and writing this post made me finally realise how excited I was for it, so yesterday I finally started Jane Eyre so I could be ready for it – so far I love Jane Eyre so I definitely recommend it!

  1. Just yes. I mean I need to read the entire GOT series that I have on my shelf, not just A Feast for Crows. And I need to read Plain Jane which I bought on Kindle, before I pick up Lady Jane. And Thunderhead – I just wanna know more about the big all-knowing cloud more?

I would 100% read reviews of all of these books though.
