Hey guys, it feels like I haven’t made a list formatted post in so long, so today I thought I would come at you guys with some movies you should put in your “To Watch” list.Β
FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM
I love this film. Seriously it follows a beautiful main character who loves animals and I love him. Also, I’m like, 99.99% sure that Newt Scamander is on the ASD spectrum and even though they will never confirm it, it still excites me. This is a fantastic movie and the beasts look beautiful and the CGI is absolutely fantastic (pun pun pun pun). BTW, you don’t have to follow Harry Potter, to understand the film and that is a small mercy in and of itself.
Yeah, here I am recommending a remake of a movie I’ve never actually seen. Whoops?
George of The Jungle is more my scene so I really never thought I was going to watch this one. I knew nothing about Tarzan other than Margo Robbie was in the remake and then I got really sick one weekend and randomly put it on, and then I kind of never turned it off. So, two days later I was slightly obsessed with the story of Tarzan and Jane, even though I’m 80% sure that movie wasn’t particularly accurate the original story, but that’s Disney for you I guess!
I’m pretty sure this is still in the cinemas so please go treat yo’ self and see it. What I love about this Thor film in particular (is how it fed my obsession with a certain green rage fella) is how you really don’t have to have seen any other MCU film to understand it. I took a non-Marvel fan with me to see it last month and she loved it just as much as I did.
Also, this is one of the funniest films of 2017 and your face is going to hurt for days.
What? A children’s movie?? But I always imagined you so elegant and put together, why would you watch this movie and enjoy it????
Well, honestly I was sick (this is a pretty common occurrence) and I wanted to know what all the hype was about. Over in America, this is a pretty popular film and everyoneΒ was raving so I decided to suck up my pride and press play. And damn it, guys it fed my fairytale retelling addiction and I’m not even mad.
This is a trilogy (only two out so farΒ π’) about the kids of the main Disney villains, and basically, they all get invited to a school where all the good guys live and of course that’s going to go well. Also, it’s hella diverse and it’s choreographed by Kenny Ortega so obviously it’s amazing.
Yeah… so if you haven’t seen this movie what are you waiting for???
I am not actually a fan of Neil Gaiman’s writing but I do really enjoy this movie. This is one of those rare occasions where for me, the book was not better than the movie.
I had to include a Star Wars movie, right? I would recommend watching the original trilogy, never touching the prequel trash and then going straight to the new trilogy.
Of the original trilogy, my favourite is definitely Return of the Jedi purely because it is such a badass action film and I just really enjoy watching this film on repeat and fangirling about lightsabers.
I had to. Come on, this movie franchise is actually pretty good when you think about it.
Most of the time I generally avoid watching the films, I’ve seen most of them multiple times, though I’ve only seen the Deathly Hallows p1 & 2 once at the cinema because I generally don’t feel like a good cry. I do, however, rewatch the first one every couple of weeks because of the nostalgia and it just feels really comforting to watch it.
ALSO, Hagrid is beautiful and I love and appreciate him.
ANOTHER CLASSICΒ WATCH ME NOW FILM
Okay, so if you haven’t seen The Princess Bride please go watch it now and then come back.
This film is like 100% my childhood and of the people I have met who have not seen the film, within maybe a month of knowing me, they then watched the film so maybe I’m the weirdo?
Yeah, you won’t find me recommending an Adam Sandler film often, so you’ve got 50 First Dates and Blended. That’s it, they are the only two films of his that I have enjoyed.
What makes him a better actor What makes an Adam Sandler film halfway decent? Drew Barrymore, and only Drew Barrymore. This is just a nice and emotional film that I always enjoy when I watch it. I don’t always seek it out, but I always press play if I see that it’s on the TV.
I honestly don’t know what I find so endearing about this film. I guess I just enjoy the family unit, and Emma Stone is one of my top 3 faves so…
Honestly, this is just an interesting story about how easily a rumour or a comment can explode and people can go nuts. Also, people can be so horrible and what even is privacy anymore?
Yes, this is a pretty old movie but I don’t even care. I love this film, it’s one of those films and I just can’t help but love it.
It’s about two people, one is trying to get the guy to dump her in 10 days so she can write an article about it, and then the guy is trying to keep the girl for however many days so he can win a bet, and I love it because wtf.
Have you seen these films? What movies should I watch asap?
Yes Descendants!! β€οΈ I’m still just as obsessed with that franchise as I was when the first one came out haha. I don’t rewatch movies that much in general, but these ones? I can watch over and over again β€οΈ Even though I absolutely love Harry Potter I still haven’t seen Fantastic Beasts π I had lost my excitement for it once it came out, though I don’t know why? I still want to see it, but I haven’t gotten around to it yet

I know, right!! The franchise is just such an interesting idea, plus the movies are so easy to rewatch! I’m the same, I hardly rewatch films, but these ones are just too good!
Ohh, I get it. I actually saw the film a few times at the cinema, its one of the few films I’ve seen more than once at the cinema. I would definitely recommend that you watch it, I think it’s on Netflix so it shouldn’t be hard to find It’s definitely different o HP because all the wizards & witches can already use magic and it’s set in the US, though I think the second film will be set in Paris so the franchise should be really interesting. ALSO, magical creatures are amazing and I love them.
