Hey, guys, today I’m coming at you with a bit of a different tbr than usual. Usually, on the first of every month I post my tbr, but this month I’m only posting my Rush Hour Readathon. I’m really excited to dive into all these books and you can read more about my readathon here!
I designed this readathon mainly just go declutter my tbr shelf, and to read the books that have been on my tbr for the longest time. Basically, in order to pick out the books for my tbr I just went to my Goodreads shelf and tried to pick out books that I wanted to read that had been there the longest. Also, it turns out that the first three books on my tbr I actually own physically, and the last two I have an audio, so I think that’s enough incentive for me to kick my butt into gear.
DATES
01st – 08th October
THE CHALLENGES
01 Read the book that’s been on your Goodreads or physical TBR the longest.
You by Caroline Kepnes
I was given this book way back in 2014 or 2015, and was soo excited to read it but then I got into a massive book slump, and so naturally, we are now in the back end of 2017 and I still haven’t picked it up.
02 Read a book by an author you’ve been meaning to read more of.
Magnus Chase and The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan
I really wanted to put a Game of Thrones novel for this prompt but I thought it would be better if I actually started Magnus Chase, as I own the first two books and my brother has also read and loved them.
03 Read a book from a series you’ve been meaning to continue/ finish.
Opal by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I have only read books 1 and 2 and I have had the series on my shelves for years so I think it’s about time I actually continued the series, as I am still really interested in what happens to the characters.
04 Use a different format (audio, ebook…etc.
The Martian OR Shadow & Bone
I wasn’t too sure about what I wanted to read for this challenge so I chose two different books which I have audiobooks for. Whichever book I choose, I know I will love it!
Are you guys doing any readathons this month? Please let me know if you join in with the readathon and link me to your blog post!
