May 31th: Fandoms You Are No Longer In
-Everyone has those fandoms they used to be super invested in, and now are no longer a part of.
The list could be a heck of a lot longer but I wanted to stay within the 5 limit parameter.
I know T5W is typically a book thing but I couldn’t really think of too many books that i hadn’t already talked about before in posts similar to this one.
SUPERNATURAL
Ahh yes, Supernatural, the first fandom I ever really got into. I think I maybe watched the first 9 or 10 seaons but honestly I was skimming the show after season 5 or 6.I Stopped watching the show pretty much because it has a shit-tonne of seasons and it started getting pretty religious.
NEW GIRL
I was actually a big fan of this show for a while, I feel like I binge watched the first maybe three seasons but then as season 4 aired it just wasn’t the same. For me, I thin this show is just something I prefer to binge-watch.
ARROW
Okay, so I was actually a super fan of this show for what feels like ages, now that I look back on it all. I binge-watched the first two seasons of the show a few months before season 3 premiered. I was super hyped for season 3 before it started and I stuck with the show throughout the season and even made it through the first couple of episodes of season 4.
Unfortunately though I was really not enjoying the route the show had taken and found that characters were being put aside in favour of Olicity (Oliver and Felicity). Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy pretty much anything to do with Superheroes but I’m here for the action, so when that’s taken away in favour of our main character talking to the neighbour about cooking tips, I just lose interest.
SHAMELESS
I never really got super absorbed into this show but my friends were obsessed for a while so I watched a few episodes. I watched maybe a season in all but kept up with the show in Tumblr and watched quite a few summaries of each season on YouTube.
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER
Like, Shameless I never actually watched a whole lot of this show. But if it was on and I didn’t have anything important to do, I watched it. But I did actually see the finale (which I had been really excited about because I’d been watching the final season on and off) and the ending really put me off watching the show properly.

I’m guessing Shameless is the US version? I’m only familiar on the UK one.
Supernatural is one of those TV shows where I know that I would love if there weren’t more than 10 seasons to go through. So much time!

Yeah, I watched the US version, for some reason I never hear anything about the UK show. I agree, I probably would have kept up with Supernatural had it not been on for so long – it’s just too much when you don’t properly enjoy the show.

Aww new girl also made my list! What a disappointment that was… And don’t even make me talk about HIMYM finale…. I felt laughed at!! 🙅

I was so disapointed with the New Girl – I just feel like it’s lost all of it’s humour for me. I feel the same about HIMYM, I was like is it April Fool’s Day? Am I being punked? Ugh, I’m still low-key mad.

Me too!!!! It infuriated me…. Like I always wanted them to be together but the show runners made it so clear they wouldn’t… And well technically yes, she wasn’t the mother but still, I felt enraged!!

I was never a hardcore fan of Arrow, but like you I stopped watching at the beginning of season 4. Like you said, there was too much Olicity. But I also thought there was too much magic and aliens, while I just wanted action and a bit more of a realistic plot.

There was definitely too much Olicity – it fully turned me off the show. I agree, what I loved the most about the show was the action and how ruthless Oliver was and then they throw all of this magic into the max? I would have prefered if they had have just focused on developing the characters and having better plot lines.

I used to be a huge fan of Arrow, but after the third season or so I started getting tired of it. I’ve thought about picking up where I left off, but there are just so many shows to watch.

I was actually thinking about watching it again a few weeks ago but from what I’ve seen Oliver hasn’t really grown all that much as a character from when I let off which is really disappointing.
I took a look at your blog (it looks awesome btw) and I would say this:
1. Don’t stress out about blogging
2. Take your time and learn your own style of blogging
3. Don’t feel pressured to write a certain type of blog post
4. You don’t have to post something every day
5. Come up with a schedule
6. Have fun!

I still haven’t give up hope with SPN, but yeah, after season 5 I practically just using the show as background noise. the characters and the plot just aren’t interesting anymore!

At least you’re sticking with it! I must admit I do that sometimes too, I can’t help it – I want to know what happens but I don’t want to actually fully watch the show.

I’ve started watching Shameless a few weeks ago but I stopped after 2 episodes! I don’t know if I just wasn’t in the mood for it or if I simply didn’t like it! 😅

I totally get you, I honestly don’t think it was my type of show – it was a bit too serious for my taste, I much prefer shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine and NCIS LA.

I was a very big fan of How I Met Your Mother too! Ahh those days😂. I was so attachted to those characters and it was so funny!

The thing is it was actually a good show and I always watched it if it was on and I had nothing to do, but the finale totally ruined it for me and now I doubt I’ll ever properly watch the show!

I would say that New Girl is worth watching for the first 2 or 3 seasons but then it starts to lose its humour and Arrow is really great in its first 2 seasons but then it starts to get boring.

I agree with you completely about Shamless! One of my best friends was absolutely OBSESSED so I watched a couple of episodes and I really didn’t get the appeal.
I’m still so angry about the HIMYM finale. Ruined the whole show, and it was one of my favourites.
