The Daily Show at Comedy Central UK

This isn’t a totally new channel to me but I’ve certainly been watching a lot more of it. These short summaries of whats going on with Trump and his administration are very interesting and let’s face it we all need a little humour at the moment.

READING:

Caraval

I haven’t written a review for this yet but I’m really hoping I can build up the motivation to because I really loved this, it’s probably the best fantasy novel I’ve read in what feels liek ages.

Caraval (Caraval, #1)

Spider-Man/Deadpool, Vol. 1: Isn’t it Bromantic

So if you didn’t know that I love comics, now you know. This combines two of the best Marvel superheroes and it’s amazing. This had me laughing out loud during form class, which let me tell you is super awkward when the teacher is marking the roll.

MARCHΒ REVIEWS:

Welp, I guess I didn’t write too many reviews this month! I swear guys there should be some more next month, I just haven’t had the time.

MOVIES & TV:

MOVIES

Honestly, right now I would love to be typing nothing more than I saw Beauty and the Beast, however it came out a week after it did over in the US and I just couldn’t find the time to go during the week. However, I will definitely be seeing it in April!

I have watched maybe one movie this month and it was actually something I’d never seen before. I watched Atlantis: The Lost Empire and I actually loved it, as soon as I go on holdays I’m probably going to have to re-watch it!

TV SHOWS

This month has been pretty ordinary. I have watched maybe five episodes of Charmed in my spare moments, but let me tell you they were 5 great episodes. This show certainly brings out my inner fangirl.

I also started Veronica Mars a couple of days ago and I’m roughly six or seven episodes into season 1. I am honestly loving it so I can’t wait to continue the series, and then I believe there is also a movie!

FAVOURITE BLOG POSTS:

SEX IN YAΒ | Posted March 20

I’ve written some pretty subpar posts this month because I have literally been falling asleep on my feet because of school but I’m actually pretty proud of this one.

  1. Ah, I loved Caraval as well! I can’t wait to see your review for it! And I absolutely love The Daily Show; Trevor Noah is fantastic. I watch so many political news shows to help me make it through this Presidency. πŸ˜‚

    1. My review was pretty lackluster, I’m kind of exhausted from school but I did really love the book!
Yeah, Trevor Noah is brilliant, I am constantly wathing videos about US politics, I don’t know if I would survive without Seth Meyer’s ‘A Closer Look’.

      1. I feel you on that! Whenever I love a book, I always feel like my reviews are lacking…but when I hate a book, I’m super confident in it. XD I always feel like I suck at expressing my love!

Yes, I love Seth Meyer’s “A Closer Look” as well! I think John Oliver is probably my favorite, but I also love Samantha Bee and Stephen Colbert, who are equally hilarious in their own right.

  2. I just checked out Caraval from the library (although I’m a little busy with my addiction to Lord of Shadows rn, so I have to put Caraval on hold for another day lol) and I have heard a lot of great things, but also some hate at all the hype? I personally think I will really enjoy it though. Both versions of the cover are sooooo pretty!

    1. Aaahhh I hope you pick it up soon! I really loved it and it will probably end up being in my top 5 for the year! Yeah, there’s definitely been some late hate with people saying it’s too similar to The Night Circus (which I haven’t read) but on the other hand others are also saying it’s completely different. Who knows what to think! I hope you enjoy it when you get to it!
