Hey everyone, welcome or welcome back to my blog! June was a bit of a flop in terms of reading new to me books. But, it’s a new month and I have some big reading plans for future blog posts, and with new blog posts comes a brand new tbr! This month I really want to focus on reading new releases because I really feel like I’ve been focusing on backlist romances for the first half of the year, but now I want to read some 2022 releases!
*If you’re interested to know my thoughts on a particular book, please do still tell me because that will definitely give me extra motivation to pick it up!
Hey everyone, welcome or welcome back to my blog! We’ve got the graphicsathon coming up in just under 2 weeks and so I’m officially geting my physical tbr together! I have a lot of books on my kindle and scribd tbrs so, I figured why not make my life even harder by giving myself even more choices and I put a whole bunch of graphics on hold at the library to the point where I maxed out my holds limit… 😅 So, here’s everything I currently have on hold at the library!
Hey everyone, welcome or welcome back to my blog! It’s officially the end of the month and can I just say… finally! This felt like such a slow month and I was also in a reading slump for the majority of the month. This was very much the kind of month where I just reread my favourite romances and didn’t really pick up anything else 😂.
Hey everyone, welcome or welcome back if you’re new! Today’s T5W post is about vacation reads so I’m recommending some of my favourite easy reads! I feel like when you’re on holiday you don’t want to read about people being stationary so I’ve tried to pick books that have characters moving around a fair bit. I’ve also gone for mostly romances because they’re so fast-paced and stereotypically easy to read. But, my last pick isn’t a romance for anyone who prefers a more cinematic action story!
For many, vacation time is here! If you’re travelling and going on vacation, what are some reads you feel are a “must have” during your vacation trip?
Hi everyone, welcome or welcome back to my blog if you’re new! I’ve been co-hosting the Graphicsathon since 2020 and we’re officially up to round 6 now! Last round we read for an entire month but we’re officially past the halfway mark of the year now so we thought we’d make it short and sweet with one week of catching up on our goodreads goals and getting to the graphics we told ourselves we’d read in the first half of the year!
So, what counts as a graphic?
Anything with images! Comics, graphics novels, manga, picture books. If it uses pictures/images as a main storytelling device, it counts!
Hi everyone. welcome or welcome back to my blog! Today I’m doing something a bit different and showing you a week in my life! Last week I did a mini-experiment with my sleep schedule and I documented it here! This is a bit new for me and my blog but I really enjoyed doing this so don’t be surprised if you see more posts like this on my blog in the future!
wake up anywhere between 6 and 7 (but 6am is obviously the goal) LOL
the first main thing I do is read – so no scrolling on my phone, but obviously letting the dog out or making breakfast is okay.
I don’t so much have a goal, as I would just like to see if this is something that I am capable of doing to try and change my daily schedule around to hopefully change my sleeping schedule. I’m an insomniac so I have no idea if this will work for me, but I think it’s worth a shot and, doing this for content gives me a little bit more motivation to actually get up in the morning!
I also think this will just be great for my general productivity every day and I’m really hoping I’ll read some great books too since I haven’t been loving everything I’ve been picking up lately.
what i expect will happen
I honestly expect that I will fail hard at this and that reading will not end up being the first thing I do when I wake up each day. But, I hope that I will be able to persuade myself to get up between 6 and 7 and maybe listen to an audiobook while I play some Animal Crossing. Is playing a video game any better than scrolling on my phone when I first wake up? No, but at least working on my island will be more productive than doom scrolling. I’m also hoping that this will at least wake me up a bit more since going on my phone seems to make me more groggy than anything else.
Hey everyone, welcome or welcome back to my blog! Today I’m writing up a Top 5 Wednesday post! I used to do these all of the time when I first started blogging and I figured it was finally time to get back to my roots and start doing these again! Today’s prompt is books worth the hype, but while I was looking through my favourites shelf on Goodreads, which is in rainbow order, I just kept adding blue books to my list and then somehow ended up with 5 books with blue covers that I wanted to talk about! 😂
There is always a new popular book that it seems everyone is raving about and saying how great it. Sometimes that hype can push us to try it and other times, not try it at all. For this prompt, let’s talk about those “hyped” reads we did try and indeed felt they were worth the hype!
Hey everyone, welcome or welcome back to my blog. I’m finally back with a new Hoemance book club update and happy to say that I’ve been loving our romance picks so far this year! I introduced the book club last year with Rebecca and we’ve been reading a romance book each month ever since. We’ve read some total bangers like The Heart Principle by Helen Hoang, Weather Girl by Rachel Lynn Solomon and Hands Down by Mariana Zapata which have become fast favourites! I’ve been loving discussing our monthly picks on our Discord with everyone in our club and I can’t wait to discuss our new picks too!
Hey everyone, welcome or welcome back to my blog! Today I’m coming to you with my weekly reading update and this week I’m actually really excited to talk about all the books on my tbr and the fun romance I’m currently reading!
Hey everyone. welcome back to my blog! I recently did a deep dive into my reading via my goodreads to see how my reading has changed since I started using the platform and I really loved analysing my reading that way. So, today I’m doing something similar that I also recently saw Marie @ drizzleandhurricanebooks (one of my favourite bloggers btw!) and I’m analysing how my reading has changed since I started blogging. I’m really trying to see whether 1. blogging has actually affected my reading at all and 2. has it been for the better or not?
